It’s finally time to wish WITA 1.0 goodbye and say hello to the brand-spanking new blog! From now on, this will be my new home. Things are still under a bit of construction, but drop a comment letting me know what you think of my design! Everybody praise Curtis McHale, who did a truly fantastic and gracious job of coding it. And while you’re hanging around, take a few seconds to leave your feedback by voting in the snazzy sidebar poll under “recent comments.”

First up will be my much-belated Resident Evil 5 review, so stay tuned!

If you’re bored, you can always check back to the old version and dig through posts. Look around and you’ll see handy archives of key movie, video game, and book reviews from the previous blog. Those who are so inclined can follow my RSS entries and comments feeds, or even register as a user. Fifty Points of Awesome will go to the first person who can name me each reference in the main site banner, and ten will be awarded to the first commenters who recognize the source of each page’s mini-banners. (Points are redeemable for virtual cookies and kudos.)

So what will WITA 2.0 offer that the old blog didn’t? Well … a lot.

• More organized, visually-appealing layout

Thanks to the new design, not only is the site easier to navigate with a bold sidebar and convenient archive pages that catalog new reviews as well as the old, but articles and pages look nicer and are easier to read, too.

• Frequent and conveniently archived content

The clean design means I’m itching to pump out more and more quality content. You can expect to see anywhere from 3-6 articles per week!

Also, instead of non-blog article updates (for GEN, Impulse Creations, Batman-On-Film, etc.) at the end of each week, I’ll be linking as I go along—which means fresh content every time you stop by. If you liked the old style of updates, though, have no fear—you can track down those updates cataloged by week through a variety of options. You could either browse the “Writing” category or its sub-categories, click on relevant “Week of M/D/YY” tags, or go to “whatistechnoagain.com/tag/week-of-MDYY” (the dates should all be Mondays). So, for example, if you want to view all the special updates for this particular week, all you would have to do is visit whatistechnoagain.com/tag/week-of-6809 (aka the week of Monday, 6/8/09). You can even click “Girls Entertainment Network,” “Impulse Creations,” “Batman-On-Film,” etc. tags, or simply plug them into the search bar and see what happens! Whatever you choose, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for. Go on, you know you want to try it!
