I believe he's stuck under a contract with them. Otherwise, yeah, I'm sure he would have run far away by now. :D

I don't know why Wheadon would even want to work with the Fox network after Firefly. Dollhouse had so much potential and watching the show develop over several seasons would have been very fun. Anyone else predict we'll get a Dollhouse comic from Wheadon and friends someday?

Thanks for the update, Matt! At least we'll get to finish out the season, however flimsy it may be.

I agree, SLS. I think the latter part of season one hinted at good things, which was why I was excited for S2, but I think the problem is consistency. Usually when Whedon's shows pick up speed---well, they pick up speed. Dollhouse has, in my opinion, been fluctuating in quality too much to make any real impact on people as a whole. So you might very well be right about it not being remembered.

Dollhouse has been officially canceled by Fox, but it will be allowed to finish out production and airing of it's 13 episode order

After a largely disappointing 1st season, even my patience was thinning, but I have enjoyed some of the more recent episodes, too little too late.

I have high hopes for the Dr. Horrible sequel, it's hammer time.

From what I heard, the last few episodes showed the series had the ability to catch up with its ambition. Any Whedon fan can figure that out though (as you said). It's kind of sad because this show specifically would have gotten much better as time dragged on.

I suppose what's really sad is that Dollhouse won't be remembered well either. It was easy to get behind Firefly because as basic science fiction, it hit the ground running and just kept getting better. Dollhouse was just starting to find its place amongst an audience that wasn't entirely on board with the concept to begin with.

I'm kinda sad I didn't watch this. But I did watch that show where she was able to go back in time and try to save the people.
