Trinity: Blood on the Sands

I love my job, but in between the fantastic you do have to put up with the mediocre and, even worse, the downright horrific. The new comic, Witchblade/The Darkness/Angelus: Blood on the Sands (written by Philip W. Smith) bored me to tears. Okay, not tears, but it does suck in comparison with the string of solid one-shots that Top Cow put out recently. I guess you can’t win them all, right? Meh.

Thankfully, Marc Guggenheim’s RESURRECTION doesn’t fall into that last category, but the first issue of the second volume emerges slowly out of the gate. Surprisingly, characters dropped like flies, but like when Scott Summers was eviscerated in X-Men 3 … no one cares. Except Kitty Pryde, but she doesn’t exist in the Oni Press universe.

Resurrection #1

Anyway, you can read my reviews of Blood on the Sands and RESURRECTION #1 at the Girls Entertainment Network. Both come out tomorrow, but chances are you’ll just want to skip them. Eh, you could humor me and check out my reviews anyway.
