Review: London Horror Comic #3

Comic Book Review: London Horror Comic #3

So I’m bummed. London Horror Comic, the horror anthology book by John-Paul Kamath, ended way too soon with its third issue.

You can find out why in my review of the issue over at the Girls Entertainment Network, although I urge all of you to buy the triple deal at the comic’s website (details in the review). Plus, I was quoted on the back of the latest issue. That brightened my day!

Bad, Comic, Bad: Ray Power

Bad, Comic, Bad!

There are two main things vintage comics are good for: history and stupidity. And since we already have Sounds of Nostalgia, I figured we’d highlight the stupidity. That’s always fun.

Ray Power

That guy’s expression just says it all: “What kind of idiot world did I walk into, and when can I leave? Some moron dressed like a fish just sprayed me with gross green water and he seriously just said, ‘Whence come you?’ And more importantly, what the hell am I wearing?”

Anyway, my review of The Darkness #79—which hits stands tomorrow—is now up! Go have a look-see!

Sounds of Nostalgia: Chrono Trigger

Sounds of Nostalgia

Do we need an excuse to play old games? Hell no! But sometimes music from OSTs can inspire us to try new ones or revisit past loves like dirty, secret affairs.

Right now I’m chugging away at Chrono Trigger (DS), and I’m loving this game. I’ve played some of the original game before, but I’ve never owned it—so this will be the first time I’ve played the whole way through. Chrono Trigger boasts an excellent musical score, but the best has to be the Ocean Palace theme.

Not to mention the Ocean Palace itself is memorable. If you haven’t played Chrono Trigger, you probably have some fancy ideas of what it might look like. I certainly did (largely inspired by a certain glorious Final Fantasy dungeon and its mermaids). But yeah, you wouldn’t see this one coming.

What are some of your favorite Sounds of Nostalgia?
